Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021!

Life has looked a bit different this year, but that only made each silver lining brighter. To close out the end of the year, we are reflecting on our accomplishments and highlights from 2020 as well as sharing a sneak peek at what you can expect from us in 2021.

Client Highlights

Our clients are the reason we do what we do. We are proud of several big milestones this year!

Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC) celebrated 230 years in October! Our team was able to join in for a few socially distanced celebratory events on their North Charleston campus. As part of the anniversary celebration, North produced a video talking more about the organization’s accomplishments and what CYDC does in the community.

North led the Florida Coalition for Children as they shifted from their in-person annual conference and launched a series of virtual conference sessions as part of their new Learning Community. Sessions featured presenters across the continuum of care and highlighted a variety of child well-being topics.

The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina Kinship Advisory Council, chaired by North’s Megan Branham, hosted its first-ever Kinship Teletown Hall to introduce community resources to kinship caregivers. To listen to the full session, click here.

North Projects

We’ve been busy this year! In addition to our client work, we have taken on a few projects of our own.

North recently announced a collaboration with Silver Digital Media, a company that specializes in video production for statewide associates, state agencies, and corporations. Through this collaboration, we now offer video services and multi-media and production services. With Silver Digital Media, North is able to offer clients the ability to tell their stories in new and dynamic ways across a variety of media platforms. Visit our YouTube channel here to see a highlight of our work.

North was also selected by Child Welfare League of America to author a piece for the upcoming compendium on COVID impact to child-serving organizations. CEO Allison North Jones and VP of Policy & Advocacy Programs Megan Branham authored a piece entitled Communicating During a Crisis: Making Challenges an Opportunity.

“The protective factors we advocate for in families, including social connections, are the same protective factors that will keep child welfare organizations surviving and thriving despite a global pandemic.”

Boss Talk

North’s Boss Talk is back – and we’re just getting started!

To kick off the reboot of Boss Talk, we created a social media campaign called the #BeABossChallenge. This included the North bosses creating a “Boss Challenge” for each day of November and encouraging our followers to participate and share with us how they’re living their best boss lives.

Our purpose with this challenge was to share our mindset that everyone is a Boss, even if it means something different for everyone.

We recently released a brand new episode of the Boss Talk podcast, where Allison, Melissa and Megan discuss the reboot of Boss Talk, our #BeABoss social media challenge and what being a boss truly means – and true to form the boss ladies kept it real and authentic. Click here to listen.

Upcoming – New Year, New North!

Look for a new North in 2020 – that includes a rebrand and a new website to reflect our growing company and services!

All things Boss Talk also coming including new podcast episodes, a special Facebook Live event, Boss Spotlight social media features, and more.

But more than anything, in 2021, we’re excited about the various new opportunities that await us and we look forward to continuing to helping create communications and campaigns that support, inspire and engage communities, and audiences throughout the country!

Cheers to 2021!
