She's been in the room. Sat on every side of the table. And shaped the story.
Journalist / Storyteller / Entrepreneur / Strategist / Executive / Trusted Counsel
Our Founder, Allison North Jones
Storyteller first.
The newsroom
Storytelling came first. It led Allison North Jones to journalism, first in Washington newsrooms for Bloomberg News, CNN, and The New York Times, and then inside the Florida Capitol for The Tampa Tribune.
The training ground
The newsroom became her training ground. Covering the Clinton impeachment trial, 9/11, the 2000 recount, the Florida Legislature, the Governor and Cabinet, Florida hurricanes, and countless elections sharpened her curiosity, her news judgment, and her ability to think on her feet (often while balancing in heels).
New directions
Over time, the stories led her in new directions. She built a business, advised clients, stepped inside organizations as a leader, navigated the complexities of public affairs in state capitols and Washington, D.C., and guided executives through moments of crisis.
Every side of the table
Rather than a single vantage point, each role gave her a new one. She gained fresh perspective on the story, the strategy, the people involved, and what was at stake.
Today
Years of experience shape every story North Media tells today. Allison brings an instinct for finding the story, a clear sense of who should be part of the conversation, and a belief that better relationships make better stories.
